Product Details Xchange Freight Xchange Freight Product Description: XCHANGE FREIGHT, brings together small to medium Third Party Logistic Brokers (3PLs) to create larger volume, that is used to generate greater volume discounts from carriers. They unite together to enhance their purchasing power, lower costs, and are more competitive in their ability to provide quality service to their customers. This allows the best balance of rates and service in the industry. We provide access to multiple modes of transportation and service options for each rate requested. The modes of transportation include: truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), intermodal, air, and ocean. The service options provided will be based on carrier rating, price, and service days. 3PLs will use XCHANGE FREIGHT as a tool to provide their own in-house rate engine and be able to make choices based on their specific need for each shipment. XCHANGE FREIGHT was formed to assist small to medium sized 3PLs the ability to compete with larger 3PLs. Pricing discounts of published tariffs are provided by carriers based on the volume of shipments provided to them. A 3PL that doesn't have the same volume of business or is "small to medium" entity, can negotiate with carriers for discounts, but will not have the same purchasing power as a "large" 3PL. The XCHANGE FREIGHT concept combines every user's shipments to create a much larger volume to present to the carriers for the best rates. This concept enables a smaller 3PL to have the same or greater discount as their larger counterparts. The ability to have this pricing also creates a larger, more diverse market, which XCHANGE FREIGHT users are exposed to. 3PLs, within the XCHANGE FREIGHT system, never have to lose their individual identify and benefit from custom forms produced from the system for their needs. XCHANGE FREIGHT does all the work for the 3PL, by providing one source to find the most competitive rates and spot quoted rates that are normally reserved for larger volume shippers.
