Benteng is a Ghana-registered fruit production company, with farms located in the nourished fruit hills of Aburi, in Ghana. Being the long sought dream of its owners, its mission is to provide high quality, tropical fruits for both the local market and foreign export. Additionally the company provides high quality planting materials for use globally. Initial production crop will be pineapple.
Benteng has farmlands of prime fruit growing land at Aburi. This is one of the best areas in the capital city for growing fruits, and boasts the advantage of being relatively close to the only international airport in the country.
It gets plenty of sunlight and humidity, especially in the day time. In addition the area has excellent drainage and an optimum soil pH ripe for pineapple production.
The farm is furnished with a barn and storage area, including facilities for sorting and cleaning the fruits, as well as waxing and packaging for export. |
