Continental AID CC operates in South and Southern Africa and has fully owned subsidiaries in Mozambique (IAD Lda) and Botswana (Surface Green (Pty) Ltd). Our objective is aimed at producing biofuels and electricty are broadbased rural development projects.
While our refineries are centralised large volume modular units our extraction plants are decentralised low volume and are located in the areas where the feedstock is produced. Involvement by the local population in producing feedstock and participation in the extraction plants is encouraged and facilitated by our organisation. Profitability and sustainability is an underlying principle of our projects but we are extremely sensitive to social responsibilities and environmental protection. Strategically we use feedstock that is non-toxic and will not cause harm to the area and its inhabitants. Developing and increasing food security is of prime concern and will at all times be considered in the development of new projects.
We are regularly Selling: biodiesel, oil cake, sunflower hulls, glycerol, coconut fibre, charcoal, furfural, coconut milk.
We are regularly Buying: sunflower seed, methanol. |
