Amandla Deco is a company with its office in Berkeley and its operation plant in Oakland. Amandla Deco was founded in June 2004 as a sole proprietorship. Our goal is to produce and promote shea butter for the American market. Amandla Deco is a small organization founded on a set of humanitarian values. We pay a fair price for our products, and twenty percent of all profits support Hope for the Future, an educational non-profit in Cameroon. This project is more than an exchange of goods for money. It is about creating long lasting relationships between the Cameroonian women who produce shea butter and women here who are using or selling it. Most of us share the same value of a just compensation for work, but we go even further to establish an ongoing dialogue and collaboration for a healthy regenerative life.
