The region of Estremoz in Alentejo gathers the ideal conditions to raise the black pig,
from Alentejo breed, which is smaller than the English pink domestic pig and it is
better suited to the dry conditions. The black pig produces especially if it feeds
exclusively from the falling bolotas (acorns) from the cork oaks.
Estremoz has the perfect weather and also rich and extensive cork oak fields,
producing this way the highest quality pork meat (fresh meat and frozen meat) and
products on the Iberian market.
Based on the facts above, Bandeira de Sabores brand was born as a company exclusively
dedicated to the raise of black pig, from Alentejo breed, at Estremoz.
All the black pigs are raised in our properties, in order to get the best organoleptic
conditions to produce the highest quality pork products and pork meat. |
