Papua New Guinea Gold Miners Association comprises of alluvial gold miners based in the Wau and Bulolo area of Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea. The association was set up with the held of the PNG government and the World Bank and recently set up an alluvial mining institute as well.
The association is now actively pursuing joint venture partners to to assist in going into mechanical mining after about 50-plus years of traditional alluvial mining.
