In market terms, KAR initially just worked the Portuguese market. In 1985 it led off the export being Palop's market the goal of the company: Angola, Guinea and later S. Tomé.
It constituted in 1995 a company in S. Tomé whose inauguration was made in 2001. This project constituted a privileged vehicle of penetration of Kar in the African market.
The company is at this time in a consolidation phase of the African market and development of the Spanish and French market.
Kar was certified by SGS-ICS in the beginning of 2000 in the intent of the production of paints and varnishes according NP EN ISO 9002.
