MAMCOS was registered in 2008 and currently being facilitated by the
Cooperative department in terms of trainings and setting up their activities. Their
members are grape growers and have their farms producing grapes twice a year.
They still face the challenges of accessing inputs and good markets due to lack of
collective efforts to increase their bargaining power in the market. This AMCO was
formed to help farmers come together, procure inputs, produce and market
collectively as to increase yield and income. Their major asset is land and basic
technology in grape production which is individually owned by its members.
